2014 Residency Award
In 2014, the JBFC awarded Greenhouse 2013 program graduates George Tarabay and Elias Khalil from Lebanon, a one month residency to edit their project 'The Changing Map of Lebanon', which was developed through Greenhouse. During their time in NY the filmmakers worked with renowned filmmakers, such as director Jonathan Demme and film editor David Tedeschi (Martin Scorsese's renowned documentary films editor), who assisted them in editing parts of their film.

Two bakers work in the same bakery in Beirut - one is Lebanese and the other is a newly arrived Syrian refugee.
This film will provide a fresh look at the current situation in Lebanon during the Syrian civil war, a time in which Syrian refugees constitute of 30% of the total Lebanese population. This documentary will focus on the day-to-day survival and the clash of cultures through the lives of the three protagonists and their families.
